Charlie's Friend (Part 1)

They were from the East Coast, He and Charlie. They grew up best of friends and shared some fantastic times together. Upon graduation from high school they took a trip to Galveston, TX to spend some time on the beach before starting college. They stayed at Hotel Lucine which sat right on the water — boy did they have fun. He was quite the ‘Romeo’ when they went out in the evenings. I think it was his unique accent (his family was from India). Anyways, the trip came and went and soon enough the two were heading to their respective colleges. One stayed on the East Coast, attending Clemson while the other went out west, attending Sierra Nevada University. The year flew by, both remained friends, but it’s just not the same.
